Who thought when we started this journey back in February that Butter would now be managing over $1 million dollars in subscriptions! But that’s where we are today and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the team that’s made this happen.
When we first conceived Butter, our main goal was to help Canadians find cool, new subscriptions that they may not be aware of. While that feature is still in the pipeline, we pivoted quickly and found that a more valuable starting point was to manage subscriptions. That decision would prove pivotal, and once our team collectively believed in that vision, we were able to execute on building Butter into what it is today.
A million dollars is a milestone for several reasons. Most importantly, it shows our commitment to delivering a product that helps you manage an aspect of your life that was previously disordered. A million dollars (and counting) shows that you find value in what we’re doing and that means the world to us.
Subscriptions and memberships have become a staple in so many of our lives. From Netflix to Spotify, Amazon to Dollar Shave Club, your gym membership to that niche magazine you just love holding on to and flipping through its pages, Butter has improved the experience for any of us who use subscriptions.
We’ll celebrate this victory for a little bit, but we’re already looking forward towards the next milestone. A native app is on the way early in the new year, plus some cool new features that my team made me promise not to talk about. Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon enough =)
